Justin Hughes – LMP
Justin comes to us with over 13 years of combined fitness experience and more than 20 years’ experience in massage therapy. He obtained his license in 1995 and his 2nd degree blue belt as student instructor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (martial art) in 2002 and is currently a 4th degree purple belt. He completed his Pilates training through Pilates Coach in 2004 and went on to pursue continued education in 2005 & 2006. He has spent his career working in various Martial Arts, Pilates, and Massage Healing Centers. His primary approach to each individual is based around centered body alignment with a goal to rid the body of pain and to increase range of motion for optimized functional body movement. He has worked with Hollywood elites such as Demi Moore, Bruce Willis, Mariel Hemingway, Diana Krall and others.
Tamara VanAtta – LMP
Tamara received her initial training in Massage Therapy and Health Education in 1989 from the National Holistic Institute in San Francisco. In 2000, she went on to study at The Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle. Her style of bodywork fluctuates with the needs of her clients from deep and invigorating to soothing and relaxing, often incorporating Reiki energy healing into the session. Tamara has been very successful using a client/therapist interactive approach that combines several therapeutic techniques including Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Re-education, Trigger Point Therapy, and Muscle Energy Technique. Together, they can reduce or eliminate pain and improve or restore full range of motion, depending on the condition and length of treatment. Tamara looks forward to getting to know you and becoming an integral part of your fitness plan.
